h3>Description of Gina

I designed a unique wall-filling shelving unit with TOSIZE Furniture for the relatively small room of our 10-year-old daughter Mia. The mix of closed and open compartments as well as the playful use of 2 different colors create an interesting design. The wooden slats give a warm appearance to the whole and complete the cupboard. A beautiful and functional end result!

How I created this project

I completely developed and optimized the design for the cupboard with the drawing program SketchUp. After approval of the working drawing, the construction package was delivered quickly. All elements were provided with practical numbered number and letter stickers, so we could clearly determine the order of construction and assembly in advance. Assembling was therefore easier than expected, the system with dowels in combination with perfectly sawn planks works very smoothly. It was exciting to put the top shelves together, will it all fit and how do we install the last back wall? But fortunately this also went very smoothly because I took into account a clearance of approximately 3 cm between the floor and the ceiling and 2 cm between the cupboard and the wall when designing. We had the cupboard assembled within 3 hours, a real stroke of luck for this large cupboard! Once the cupboard was in place, the real work began: finishing it! We have degreased the entire cupboard. After applying 2 layers of Flexa Pure primer and 1 layer of lacquer, we applied the wooden slats to the low doors and back wall of 3 compartments. We had the slats cut to size at the hardware store and then treated with colorless wood oil. With the help of spacers, the slats could be neatly glued to the doors and back walls. We are very happy with this beautiful end result.
