Combining a stylish desk with more cabinet space? That's what Isabel has done. By designing a desk that has cabinet space in addition to enough work space, she makes the best use of space!

What if you want to create a workspace in the living room? Then you will be faced with a number of things. First of all, you need to think about storage space. Might sound illogical, but a desk is most likely going to take up the space of a cupboard. So extra storage space is important. In addition, it is also important for the desk to look good. You have probably done your best to make your living room look nice and it would be a shame if a desk detracts from that. Next, of course, you also want the desk to make the best use of the space available. Space by the wall is limited and you don't want to be left with unusable spaces.

For these reasons, Isabel designed a desk with our custom configurator. Spacious, stylish and with a perfect fit! Because the configurator allows you to create and order your design with millimetre precision. As a result, Isabel was able to create her desk exactly inside the niche next to the fireplace. Perfect fit? Check! The custom configurator also allows you to incorporate cupboard space into your design. So Isabel also designed two closed compartments at the top. Extra storage space? Check! Our custom-made furniture can be made from different types of wood. You can choose from different types of wood and different finishes; so there is always a wood type that suits your interior!

Making furniture from MDF Blank

For her design, Isabel chose the wood type MDF Blank. This is the standard variant of MDF. This variant is still untreated and can be finished entirely as you wish. A good basis for this is a primer. This protects the material against moisture and ensures that the paint layer covers nicely. Isabel used black Annie Sloan paint for the finish.

Design your own unique desk!
