Description

A floating desk with a loose blind shelf equipped with LED lighting. Desk has no legs and is attached to the wall by means of a frame.

Sleek, floating desk

Made a frame out of 4 fir beams and attached them to the wall (3x), and the last one in front. This if well fastened together. Then mounted a cut-to-size MDF lacquer backing board with rounded corner (front) on the frame with a short overhang. On the long side right a second section and make sure both boards are exactly the same height. Then putty the seams well and then paint in 2-component colour lacquer and apply a 2-component gloss lacquer (against scratches).
Plank the same, with a lacquer carrier foil plate on the underside and then fill and sand the end edge. Mount LED lamps and driver in the (hollow) plank before screwing it closed and painting.
