From standard to unique: Our self-designed shelving unit as an eye-catcher in the house, by Sara (@thuisbijsaar)

Just like with many items in my interior, I have a preference for something slightly different. My home is filled with organic shapes, rounded benches, a herringbone floor and of course a shelving unit. Although I already had a beautiful shelving unit, I noticed that everyone seemed to have the same unit. Moreover, my unit was actually too narrow and had much more potential upwards due to our high ceiling. A higher unit can create an impressive effect in the space and make your ceiling seem higher.

 

On the website of TOSIZE.lu I discovered that you can easily design your own cabinet. You can determine the width and height and arrange the compartments completely to your liking. We chose compartments with closed doors, so that we can also keep some 'junk' out of sight.

 

Upon delivery we received a huge package, and to be honest, I was a bit shocked. But fortunately the panic turned out to be for nothing: all parts were neatly numbered, so we could get started quickly. You have the choice to order the furniture processed or unprocessed, and we chose to have the furniture sprayed in color ourselves.

 

Now we have the oh so popular shelving unit, but then completely according to our own design. How cool is that?!
