In this DIY project, Elmar shows how he made a beautiful wardrobe with the help of the online sawing service. For part of his job he ordered MDF oak dosse and underlayment panels online. This way he could start working with material straight away. Read more about his approach and experience below.
Description of Elmar
I made a wardrobe / wall cupboard from oak slats and MDF panels with an oak veneer top layer. The cupboard contains drawers, a wardrobe area and various large and small compartments for a lot of storage. I kept some parts for a playful character. The shelves in the cupboard are made of HPL plates, white on the outside so that it looks light. The cupboard is now usable and can easily be expanded with additional parts or tricks.
How I made this project
I first made a detailed working drawing and sawed all the slats to size. I also pre-drilled all the holes. I did this with a drill holder (super handy). Then I lacquered the oak slats (not necessary, but better). Then the frame was assembled in place and screwed to the wall in some places. When the frame was ready, I ordered the panels to size and hung them with small compact hinges.
Dimensions of my DIY project
The cabinet has a total width of 350.0 cm and is 260.0 high
